Welcome to my first family photo SUPERLATIVES. 2021 was my busiest year yet, and I just wanted to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. There were too many memorable sessions to mention them all, so I narrowed it down to 10 categories. Scroll down to see if your family was featured!
THE AWARD FOR THE BEST "URBAN VIBE"
I can't tell you how much I loved the way this session turned out. The backdrop is one that I am so familiar with. Growing up in West New York, I got to enjoy this view every day. This spot never disappoints, and feels very much like coming home.
BEST DOG AWARD
And the winner is....LARRY! I've had the honor to photograph Larry and his beautiful family a few years back, and to no surprise, he stole the show again. Our pups are part of our family. They are with us through the good and bad times, and always happy just to be with us. I mean...can this little guy pose or what?
THE BEST NEWBORN HAIR
I don't think I've ever photographed a 10 day old baby with this much hair. Absolutely gorgeous. Don't you agree?
BEST FALL FOLIAGE
This session was bursting with beautiful color, and beautiful family. Mom really wanted colorful foliage, but our October session had to be rescheduled due to bad weather. I was so nervous because we weren't able to reschedule until mid-November. By then, most of the leaves had fallen, but we found vibrant pockets of color everywhere. It turned out to be my last and favorite session of the season!
BEST GRANDMA AWARD
We have a tie! Grandparents are always welcome at our sessions. That bond between grandparents and their grandchildren are irresistable moments I enjoy witnessing through my lens. Pure joy!
BEST #DADTOSS
I always hold my breathe for this shot! So it's a dad thing right? I remember when my kids were little, it was always my husband doing the more adventurous games. I guess I was holding my breathe back then too!
MOST CHILL IN-HOME FAMILY SESSION
When you schedule an in-home session with me I like to say- "just think of me as a friend coming over to hang out and take some pics." This family was quintessentially chill!
MOST PLAYFUL BIG SIBLING
Another tie for this one! Sometimes an older sibling steals the show during a newborn session. Parents often worry that their kids "won't behave!" But guess what? I don't want them to. I want to capture your family in a way that reminds you of not just what you looked like, but of what your life felt like during this very special time.
THE MOST RUNNING AFTER A TODDLER AWARD GOES TO.....
Basically most of my sessions this year! There's no way I could pick just 1 or 2! We did a LOT of running. At times it felt like complete chaos with todlers running in different directions. But thankfully, when parents embrace the chaos, it lends to beautiful photos. Ready, set, GO!
BEST BLACK AND WHITE IMAGE
They may not necessarily be my best b&w images, but they are definitely my favorite. These images are what I strive for in a session. Photos that feel like a memory!
